The Votes Have Been Counted

That's right .... there was an election held already!
Sunday evening 34 Junior High Youth came out for "Uncle Skipe Wants You" and made their choice. The make shift poll booths were open and the youth had an opportunity to cast their ballot!  Well so to speak - they voted PEPSI as their favorite cold drink and Hot Chocolate as their favorite hot drink.
Elections weren't the only thing on the teens mind. Pastor Shaun shared a devotion about their "Allegiance to God"  and then they had a very special guest speaker. PA Representative Todd Rock came to talk to the youth about his passion for serving the residents in our local area and the teens were then given an opportunity to ask questions.
Next up was a Pie Eating Contest and Todd Rock was gracious to participate along with 4 of our youth (Seth Egolf, Forrest Rhyne, Jocelyn Roth & Bri Steward) and 1 youth advisor. Congratulations to Seth for eating the pie quickest! Followed by snacks all with a patriotic theme the youth had time to play Gaga ball, basketball or just "hang out" with friends.
THANK YOU so much to Todd Rock for giving his evening to fellowship with the youth and to the 16 adults who came out to make the evening a great success!!

*Also, a HUGE thank you to the 10 teens who gave up their Saturday morning to stack firewood for a couple of hours.  Thanks for the help!
